• Father to Paul and Caroline
• Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in South Boston
• Born July 21, 1970 at Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston
• Graduated in 1988 from Halifax County High School
• Left Virginia Tech during freshmen year to help mother run the family farm after his father passed away
• Went back to school and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Averett University in 1996
• Took over family farm business in 1998
• Elected to Halifax County Board of Supervisors in 1999
• Selected as Vice Chairman of Board of Supervisors in 2000
• Long-time volunteer at organizations like Good Samaritan Food & Clothing Bank, National Wild Turkey Federation, Wounded Warriors of Iraq and Afghanistan, Hunters for the Hungry, and through his church

• Worked to implement tax relief for the elderly and disabled
• Served as past Chairman of Finance, Buildings and Grounds Committees
• Helped organize the Halifax County Joint Service Authority
• As Chairman of Recreation and Fair Committees, led efforts to save, and organized the first county-owned Halifax County Fair

• Sat on the founding board of the Halifax Education Foundation
• Donated 100 acres of his family’s land to the county to form Edmunds Park
• 16-Year participant of the Adopt-A-Highway program
• Served on the Virginia Board of Forestry
• Participated in the White House Conference on Cooperative Conservation
• Coaches t-ball and his son’s soccer team
